Leah and Matt’s summer wedding at Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine embraced its coastal setting without leaning too heavily into a traditional seaside aesthetic.

Their design was relaxed, colorful, and just a little whimsical, creating a celebration that felt at home along the Maine coast while still feeling distinctly their own. Some of my favorite personal touches came through in their music selections—rather than choosing the songs you hear at wedding after wedding, they filled the day with music that felt genuinely personal to them.

With perfect summer weather overlooking Penobscot Bay and a DJ who kept the dance floor packed all night, their Samoset Resort wedding was easygoing, joyful, and an especially fun way to spend a summer day on the coast of Maine.
